Australian Labor Party – The New Political Fidayeen Squad

I don’t know whether to celebrate or mourn. The Labor party is heading towards disaster and it seems it has decided to take all of us with it. In India, Pakistan and Middle Eastern countries, the term “fidayeen squads” is quite well known. In short, Fidayeen squads are similar to suicide bombers with the only difference being that instead of blowing themselves straight away; they usually try to stay alive as long as can thereby causing 
 maximum damage before they are taken down by security forces. The attack on Mumbai on 26^th November ‘2008 is one such example of Fidayeen attack. 

I believe this concept has now taken off in Political circles too. In 2007, when John Howard realized that there was no way he could take coalition back to another term of government, he decided to carry out a “political Fidayeen attack” by bringing WorkChoices. It was a major piece of reform for Howard but everyone knew it was going to be fatal. Once Howard knew that there was no way his party was going to be re-elected, he had no option but to continue with WorkChoices. The idea is that if you are going down then make most of it.

Today, Julia Gillard and Labor party are in the same predicament. There is no way on earth they can win the next election and so it seems that Labor decided that it will carry out all the radical reforms that it tried to hide for years. Labor is about to commit another “political fidayeen attack”.  

We have already seen things like Plain packaging and Carbon Tax that have further reduced Labor’s chances of getting re-elected. Now, one after another state Labor conferences are passing motions to legalize gay marriage. All this is being done to put pressure on National Labor conference that will take place at the end of the year. NSW ALP which is already in tatters from recent State Election defeat is the last major Labor body left to show its support for same sex marriage. Its only matter of time before it too will follow suit.

Once that happens, Labor with the help of extremist greens will put a bill for Gay marriage next year and it is quite possible that this time next year, we will have gays and lesbians getting married like other heterosexual couples.  

If that happens then Labor will be completely wiped out but nonetheless it will be able to implement some of the radical things it believes but doesn’t publicly accept due to voter backlash.

This is a crucial time for all Australians; whether individuals or businesses as in coming weeks and months, Labor might potentially carry out some of the most unpopular and undesirable legislation. If you voted Labor last time, then you have a right to feel angry now!

Thanks everyone who supported me. I obviously did not win (you'd have known otherwise) nor did I ever claim that I was going to win. I always said that "winning is hard but not impossible". The fact of the matter is that there was a Liberal Wave that swept through the whole NSW and especially in Sydney.

Everyone is giving their reasons for this wave. Labor is saying it is because of their infighting. Tony Abbott is saying because of Carbon Tax. I spoke to some winning Liberal candidates ( called them to congratulate as a courtesy) and they are all claiming its because of them. So yeh, we might never know what created swings like 20-30% but end result is what we knew all along. Liberals are in and Labor is DEAD! R.I.P NSW Labor

As far as my own career is concerned I have following to say. While I'm disappointed that I could not get the result I wanted. I was hoping to get between 5-10% of primary vote and a much closer Labor-Liberal fight thereby making the seat marginal. I think marginal seats are good seats because it means major parties have to work their back side off to win unlike safe Labor seats which Labor always takes for granted. I did not get that and that is the only thing I'm disappointed about.

I will now re-think my political strategies and work on Local issues so that If I ever decide to run again I will be better prepared.

All the very best to all the winners! Special mention to Mr. Charles Casuscelli as he is now my local State MP. I've assured him support as I believe that he should be allowed to have a go. If he does well I will thank him but if he ends up on same rotten Labor Path then I will criticize him. I think that is fair.

In coming days, weeks and months I will continue to talk with Strathfield residents and do whatever I can to help them. I will continue to engage with media and local political parties be it Liberals, Labor or Greens as they still have councillors, Federal and State MP's in this area. In the end I want best for Strathfield residents and I will never abandon  them.

Mark Sharma Media Release on Toongabbie

There have been media reports that suggests that an Independent Indian background Candidate by name of Mr. Ashok Kumar is contesting Toongabbie with the backing of a Sydney Cardiologist Dr. Yadu Singh. Dr. Singh has confirmed in his comments to Herald that " he has political aspirations but denied he was attempting to use the fight in Toongabbie to win favour with the Liberals and shore up his prospects."

Dr. Yadu Singh is also President and architect of an organisation called "Council of Indian Australians Inc".

In light of above revelations, Independent Strathfield Candidate Mark Sharma has decided to clarify his position on the above matter.

1.) Mark Sharma is NOT associated with Ashok Kumar, Dr. Yadu Singh or any other members of CIA as listed on their website or anybody else directly or indirectly related to them in any capacity.

2.) Mark Sharma is NOT responsible for the actions of above mentioned whether those actions are cultural, political, legal, illegal, ethical or unethical.


3.) Mark Sharma can confirm that in December 2010, a series of meetings took place at the house of present CIA Public Officer Mr. Subba Rao Varigonda  where it was explicitly decided that CIA or CIA members will NOT be seen as favoring any political party and a pledge would be taken in this regard. These details are still listed on the CIA Website. 

This is precisely why Mark Sharma, a well known and long term Independent Politician from Strathfield, NSW decided to help them at that time as he was told explicitly that CIA would not turn into a political organisation

Mark Sharma can confirm that Mr. Ashok Kumar was part of all these meetings and has been an integral part of CIA from day of its creation. Mark Sharma can also confirm that Mr. Ashok Kumar was asked to sell CIA tickets for the CIA dinner which was held on 28th January 2011 at Blacktown.

Mark Sharma is unaware that whether Mr. Ashok Kumar is actual member of CIA as all this information is with the 4 Executives of CIA.

4.) Mark Sharma wants to re-iterate to the people of Strathfield and wider NSW that he is a genuine Independent Candidate and has been campaigning in Strathfield for over 4 years. Dear Strathfield Voters,

I know a large number of you read my online blog "The Voice of Strathfield" and I'd like to thank you for all the support you have given me over the years. I contested the Federal Watson constituency as an Independent just so that our area and country Australia can get better Services and become even stronger then what it is today.

I'm now contesting State seat of Strathfield for the upcoming NSW March State Election. Once again I will be contesting this seat as an Independent even though I've been offered to contest by various parties. Since July of Last year, I've been able to connect with thousands of everyday NSW residents through my various websites, my articles in various newspapers, through walking the streets of Strathfield Area, by email, by social networking and much more.

I've heard you all and I'm now acting on it. If elected, I will fulfill my promise of high quality roads for Strathfield residents. I will make sure there are more train services running through Strathfield electorate. I will clean up our councils and fight corruption. I will get a Police Station right opposite Strathfield Train Station. I will demand the repealing of draconian planning Act 3A and I will protect jobs by stopping Carbon Tax and WorkChoices. These are not just promises but these are issues that affect me personally.

Another thing that I strongly oppose is the privatization of Electricity which MUST BE STOPPED NOW. Unfortunately, none of the big parties whether it is Labor, Liberals or for that matter Greens have done anything positive for our electorate. Why? Because they are NOT interested in helping you. They are only interested in helping those who donate to them which includes Greens who have been regularly funded by Unions and Lobby Groups.

I've never got even 1 cent in donation from anyone and my view on donations is that either they should be banned all together or else this "drama" that Labor and Greens played in December 2010 should be dumped for good.

I've mentioned some important issues above which I'm passionate about and I will implement them no matter what. People who know me well know that If I say something, I do it or else I don't say it.

It is widely expected that Writs will be issued tomorrow and so this will be my last Political post here until election night i.e 26th March 2011. EthnicLeaks: SMH Story on "Labor's shame Awards"

By the time most of you will read this post the following news report would already be out:-

Currying favour: Premier turns to minorities in marginal seats 

HUNDREDS of thousands of taxpayer dollars are being poured into awards for ethnic communities prominent in seats being contested by some of the government's most senior MPs, including the Labor leader in waiting, John Robertson.

The awards, costing $300,000 and created in the past three months, are being handed out by the Premier, Kristina Keneally, to members of the Indian, Lebanese, Vietnamese and Filipino communities at official ceremonies held at Government House.

But their proximity to the election raises questions about whether Labor is using public funds and resources, including the Community Relations Commission, which is administering the awards, to shore up its campaign in western Sydney.

At the moment, this report  is on Front page of Sydney Morning Herald Website and I've a feeling that it might or might not make headlines in the morning print edition.

What I'm going to say next might upset some people (including some who are good friends of mine) but I guess truth needs to be told. I leaked this story to Herald. They then did their own investigation and decided to publish it after realizing that it was a valid issue and should be brought to public's attention!

Are the winners of these awards worthy of it?

While I can't comment on other communities ( lack of my knowledge on the background of other winners) but certainly the "Indian Winners" of these awards have done decent amount of work. It includes a Newspaper Owner who has created a big reputation in large Indian Community present here in Australia, a businessman who has been involved in quite a few community initiatives and some other professionals who have achieved laurels in their chosen field.

So why did I leak it to the Press?

Genuineness of recipients is just one question in this saga. The most important question is the intent of Labor Government. I've always maintained that Labor has always ignored immigrants and provided superficial measures like few grants, speeches praising immigrants and a photo op with Labor Ministers or MP's. In the case of Indian community, Female Labor leaders like Kristina Keneally, Virginia Judge and others have started wearing Sarees (Indian dress) so that instead of concentrating on REAL issues of Hospitals, Roads, Transport and Traffic; Ethnic media can concentrate on "the colour of Labor Minister's Indian dress"

Put simply, we are sick and tired of pork barreling. We don't Want Virginia Judge in a Saree, We Want Representation!

These are genuine grievances of all immigrant communities of Sydney and I'm not afraid to air them in Public. I've been doing it for over 3 years and will continue the struggle until major parties start treating us immigrants like normal citizens!

Other Issues

These Awards can be best described as a desperate bribe to secure Immigrant votes but what Labor doesn't realize is that it will never work. At the end of the day, we all know the current state of NSW and there is NO way on Earth we will sell ourselves to Labor in return for an Award that has been distributed like confetti. This cheap attempt by NSW Labor Party shows that Labor has no respect for Immigrants. Let me just say loud and clear to Ms Keneally and her faceless men at Sussex Street: WE ARE NOT FOOLS! 


If my leaking of this story has hurt any Award winner then I'd like to apologize for it but I want reassure that it was NOT a story about doubting your credentials but about Labor's attitude towards ethnic minorities!

Work longer and cut immigration: Labor MP

A LABOR backbencher says Australia should curb its population growth by slashing the immigration intake - including skilled migration - and abolishing middle-class welfare measures that encourage people to have children.

In his submission to the government's inquiry into population, the Victorian MP Kelvin Thomson says Australia can sustain an ageing population by increasing the productivity of its present population, especially older people, rather than importing migrants and workers.

He also calls for an end to the baby bonus, the large family supplement and family tax benefit A for third and later children. The combined $3 billion in annual savings should be used for building the skills and qualifications of young people and abolishing HECS, he says.

 

 

Mr Thomson backs the government's intention to reform the welfare system, especially the disability support pension, to ensure those who are able to work, do so.

VoS COMMENT:- Some of you might be confused with the above words thinking that it is probably from Scott Morrison or Senator Cory Bernardi or some other right wing Liberal MP but the fact of the matter is that all this is coming straight from Labor Party. A party which is controlled by union Thugs that hate Immigrants. 

Its an open secret that in Australia, Liberals get support from Small Business owners and Labor gets most of its resources from Unions. Now, Labor continues to claim that they "truly" care about Immigrants and Multiculturalism. The truth is far from it. Unions don't like immigrants at all as most Immigrants (especially from Asia) are hard working. They come to Australia, learn about the systems quickly and end up competing with other non-immigrant Australians for jobs. This is a good thing because it means Australia's productivity goes up. More competition is always good.

But union backed Labor thugs HATE this. They don't want Immigrants competing for jobs where they can easily extort free salaries by using their Union muscle. In effect, Unions are destroying Australia's productivity and that in turn damages our economy. 

Now, to cover their RACIST behaviour, Greens-Labor-Unions have come up with a brilliant idea. The idea is called "refugee advocacy". Refugees only make small number of all immigrants and once they are here most of them end up working for one of the above mentioned organisations or their affiliates for years.

A perfect example is happening right in my electorate of Strathfield. Tamil Refugees from Sri Lanka have been coming to Australia to seek asylum for many years. They had to come Australia as the situation back home ( fight between Tamil Rebels and Sri Lankan Government) had made their life in living hell. But the reality is that these people have now been turned into political slaves for Labor and Greens.

If Labor or Greens want then they can make sure that at least 1 person of Sri Lankan Tamil background can become a MP in either Federal or State lower houses. Yet it will never happen.These same Sri Lankan Tamil Refugees work tirelessly for the Labor-Greens masters in Strathfield and other areas with high ethnic numbers. They give out "how to votes", man polling booths, write articles in the favor of candidates from these parties etc. 

In all, it is a free lifetime political workforce for both Labor and Greens. But despite that neither Labor nor Greens really care about them.  All that Tamils get in return is broken promises after promises, few photographs and some publicity stunts. Tamils are NOT the only group being exploited by Labor and Greens. There are hundreds more examples. The time has come for these and other minorities to start asking for their political rights and teach these organisations a lesson for deceiving and mistreating them for years!

Until we defeat Labor-Greens Nexus completely, the issue of Racism will never go away. I'm also not surprised that studies prove that Strathfield is considered most racist place in the country. It has to be..afterall there is Labor everywhere here!
